We matched within three days. When we finally met in person, everything just clicked. Our February wedding doubled as a celebration of Collin surviving heart surgery - and a reminder that dating with a disability stops being lonely the moment you are in the right room. People Magazine covered our story, and we still get messages from singles who say it gave them permission to try again.
About InclusiveDating: Built by People Who Get It
Where love has no barriers. We are a small, family-run team building the disability dating app we wished existed when ghosting after disclosure was still treated as a normal part of online dating.
Why We Built InclusiveDating
InclusiveDating started where most disability dating apps start - with a bad night on a mainstream app. Our lead founder became disabled at 14 through chronic illness. By her late twenties, after a feeding tube placement in October 2021 deepened the anxiety of disclosing on Tinder and Bumble, the math stopped working. Every swipe required a script. Every match required an explanation. Every honest answer thinned out the inbox.
The turning point came when her older sister, a legal-aid attorney, asked a simple question: why are you trying to fix yourself for a platform that was never built for you? That question became the founding brief of this company. We borrowed the family-monitored verification model that platforms like Special Bridge pioneered, the disability-first product design that Dateability proved was viable, and added an explicit anti-devotee policy that mainstream apps still refuse to write down.
We are not a venture-backed swipe factory. We are a sibling-led, disability-led team that ships features users actually request - captions on every video, audio bios for blind users, a friendship-first toggle, and a pause-matching button for the days the world is too loud.
Our Mission and Core Values
Our mission is simple: build a dating platform where the 61 million American adults with a disability - and the 1.3 billion globally - are seen as full romantic partners, not inspiration, not charity, not fetish. Four values keep us honest.
Anti-Ableism
We do not call you brave for existing. Copy, design, and moderation are reviewed by disabled team members and community advisors at every release.
Anti-Devotee Policy
Fetishization of disability is grounds for a permanent ban after a single warning. This rule is published, enforced, and audited monthly.
Dignity
Person-first or identity-first language by community preference. No inspiration porn, no pity narratives, no infantilizing copy - ever.
Reciprocity
Relationships, not caretaking. Our matching engine pairs adults as equals, with optional caregiver integration only where the community asks for it.
The Community We Serve
When the largest minority on earth is still treated like an afterthought by mainstream apps, a dedicated dating site for people with disabilities is not a niche - it is essential.
A Small, Family-Run Team That Listens
We are deliberately small. Our core team includes disabled founders, a legal-aid attorney sister who handles community standards, two full-time trauma-informed moderators, a Deaf product designer, and a rotating circle of paid community advisors representing each of our 12 categories - from wheelchair users to autistic adults to veterans living with PTSD.
Every product decision passes through what we call the "Would Jacqueline at 14 sign up for this?" test. If a feature would have felt patronizing, exposing, or unsafe to a teenager freshly navigating a new diagnosis, it does not ship. That single rule has killed more growth-hacky ideas than any spreadsheet ever could - and it is why our retention reads more like a community than a funnel.
We answer our own support inbox. We name our moderators. We publish moderation outcomes quarterly. If you ever want to talk to someone real about our safety practices or how we handle data in our privacy policy, you will reach a human who actually works here.
"We are not building a dating app for disabled people. We are disabled people building a dating app - and that distinction is the whole product." - InclusiveDating founding statement, 2024

Real Couples, Real Stories
The clearest answer to "does a disability dating app actually work?" is the couples who walk down the aisle. See more on our success stories page.
Trust and Safety, Built In
These are not bolt-on features. They are the floor of the platform - the reason this dating site for people with disabilities exists in the first place.
Verified Profiles
Every member completes a live selfie review by a trained moderator. Verified profiles wear a lavender heart-lock chip.
Anti-Devotee Policy
Fetishization is permanently banned after one warning. Our moderators are trained in disability culture, not generic content rules.
WCAG AA Accessibility
Screen-reader optimized, keyboard navigable, captioned video, audio bios, and zero autoplay or flashing media.
Family-Run Moderation
Our small team answers its own inbox, names its moderators, and publishes outcomes quarterly. No hidden algorithms.
